Hardy Falls

I wasn't too sure about this paper with these photos but in the end I really liked how it all turned out.
We hiked up to Hardy Falls near Kelowna while visiting my mom and dad.
I was playing with my camera and the effect different settings had on the look of the moving water so of course the kids wanted to get in the shots too.

A Cool Technique

I love how this card turned out.
I made this card as part of the stampers 10 that I belong to and I wanted to share b/c the technique we used was so cool.
We brayered some light blue ink onto the snowflake embossing folder and then put in a piece of white paper.
We ran it through the big shot and the effect of the blue ink of the white paper was so cool.
The snowflakes are even more defined that just plain embossing.
I will definitely be trying this again.

Braids and Beads

While we were in Mexica in Nov 2007 K got her hair breaded.
At the end of each braid was a bead.
She looked so cute.

A Few Cards to Share

After I finish each LO I like to make a couple cards with the scraps while I have everything out.
I believe these were all made using card sketches from Page Maps.

A Visit With Santa

A simple LO using Basic Grey.
I don't think you can tell in the photo but I distressed all the edges of the papers.

Walk Beside Me and Be My Friend

This layout is based on a Jessica Sprague class.

The photos of W and G were taken at San Jose beach.

Departure Bay Gladiators

This is the team G has played with since he started soccer in Kindergarten.
Every year they have a group and an individual photo taken.
Its pretty hard to come up with a new design each year but I really like how this page turned out.

Time for a Break

This photo of K and her ballet group was very hard to scrap. There were so many colours in the photos and the colours were so bright but this paper by Basic Grey ended up working pretty well.

Welcome to my blog

I'm starting this blog as a place to share my scrapbook pages, cards and other creations with friends and family.
This is all new to me so the look of the blog may change a lot in the first few weeks while I figure things out.
Hope you enjoy what you see.
Thanks for coming.
